About Varoom

  • Over 20 years in technology marketing and senior management, over 10 years at Director level and worldwide experience gained from living and working abroad.
  • In my early years I created a start up company, specializing in computer aided test systems and sold my shareholding after 3 years.
  • Since 2001 have been a mentor for budding entrepreneurs in the Bristol and Bath University enterprise centres and a judge on the Bristol University Business plan competition. I review over 50 business plans per year.
  • This blog allows me to capture the advice I give whilst mentoring and offer it for the benefit of others.
  • Of course these opinions are my own and there are many ways to develop business and marketing plans in order to be successful
  • Why Varoom? Well its the noise made when you rev a sports car engine just before you drop the clutch and speed off!
  • Hopefully I can help with the speeding part!

Greville,

Are you the Greville Commins who did an apprenticeship with the MOD in the 70s, at Copenacre?

If so, say hello!

If not, sorry to bother you, but there aren’t too many people with your name (or mine!)

Thanks,

Paul Hands (phands@google.com) or look me up on LinkedIn.com

G’Day Grev,

Good to see you sharing your experience with up and coming entrepreneurs – it would have been great to have had someone like you for advice when we started up all those years ago!

Howdy Grev,
I hope life is treating you well.
My nick name is “still” Cod, so I suppose I have you & Clive to thank for that.
